I have the Barebacks and like them . I made the mistake of thinking the Bareback brackets needed to line up (position Both in the 12 o,clock ) It made it very hard to line up to install and remove . I found if I put the back bracket in the 12 o,clock position and the front bracket in the 2 o,clock position it was a lot easier . Now I release the back tip up and remove the front and does not need three hands to do .
I can say for sure that my original fender/TS fasteners were 5/16x24 and the Barebacks are 3/8x16. Their data doesn't seem to address this at all.
It's good to know that they work with detachable though.
I don't know if there is a difference in years, but my kit had 3/8x16 bolts and my fender bolts were 3/8 as well.
When putting the male cycle vision bolt in the rear i notice that it protrudes pretty far in the fender well. I'm concerned it's going to hit the tire. Does anyone else's do this?

Since you are using T-nuts, cut the bolts flush with the T-nut.
