I emailed them and they sent me a new lower block for the mount and it doesn't hit very often anymore. I can still feel it under hard braking or when accelerating hard and hitting a bump. Not sure I'm 100% sold on this mount for that reason alone. I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue so it may be only with the theader. It's top notch quality for sure I just wish it didn't hit give me clearance issues
Glad your liking the feel, but that does suck about it hitting the theader. I wonder if there are other people having the same problem? You cant be the only one running their mount with a theader. I will have to give them a call before I order. Thanks for the info though. Are you just running a stock mount with the sputhe in the rear?

mid controls were hitting my V&H straightshots, solved the problem by moving the mounting clamp for the header below the bracket... gained about an eighth of an inch and hasn't hit since.

I brought it up here and nobody else seemed to be having issues. When I contacted vibra technics they responded almost immediately and 2 days later I had the new block so their customer service is great. Yea stock rear mount with the sputhe. That thing is really fun to install too lol. I need to contact vt again and see if they can send me another block that's just a hair shorter and I think it will be clear. Either that or get on this pipe and get it twisted which will hopefully give me some more clearance.

I installed it last week and put a couple hundred miles on it over the weekend. I kept feeling a clunk on my peg when I hit big bumps on the freeway at high speeds. After reading what monster wrote i checked my pipe and theres marks where it hits the peg mount. I have the Bassani 1d12rb. Guess ill contact VT and get that block, and hopefully that will solve it. Does sputhe sell just the rear mount?

Sucks that your having issues too but it's good to know its not just something wrong with my bike lol. Yea if you call sputhe they will sell you just the rear stabilizer. Might be a good idea to ask sputhe to send you a copy of instructions, seems like they overlook that part a lot (not that the instructions are really much help)

After reading all the good stuff about this mount I went ahead and bought one. The problem I have is that I have to squeeze it into the frame and it puts alot p pressure on the center bolt and lots of vibration. Where I had a gap with the stock mount on my last frame, 07 wide glide, now on this 09 fat bob frame I have to squeeze it in. I sent them an email and tried to explaine it, but no way to attach a pic. hopefully hear from them tomarrow.

Didn't you take it apart to install? Before you tightened the center bolt did you take the motor off the jack as instruction said? Mine lined up on my 08 Superglide. Let us know what they say. Jim

Just a suggestion, but get the rear tire off the ground if you did not do that.

This will take the tension off the rear motor mount and should allow for ease of installation..........

I have a 2013 FXDF and had no problem's at all with the install...........

That worked for me too. No issues on my 13 FXDF either. As long as you lift the engine properly and lower it slowly so the bolts line up you should be fine.
