Just wondering if anyone knows the difference in gearing of stock dynas between an '04 model and a '13, taking into account different pulleys and the different transmissions. Basically, I'm trying to figure out why my '04 WG with the 88" feels like it pulls harder than my '13 FB with the 103"
I believe the final on the 04 3.15, the 13 is 2.79. I had an inner primary leak on my 01fxd , replaced the 32 pulley to a Baker 31 tooth... Got it down to 3.26 look at the evolution. Industries 49 tooth clutch basket or 31 t pulley
bklynbob got the final ratios perfect. Red Dragons 04 WG will have a 32T front, 70T rear and 5 speeds, his 13 FB comes with 32T front, 66T rear and 6 speeds. The 30T mod will help you get that pull back that your 04 WG has.

Awesome thanks for those numbers! I feel like putting on 30 front AND 70 rear on the FB is really gonna make a difference in acceleration. I also hate having to sometimes downshift to 1st on the FB for going slow speeds. On my WG, the only time I ever need 1st is when coming from a full stop...as long as I'm moving, 2nd can handle it. I just feel like the stock gear ratios on the newer bikes suck.

Just be sure to do both mods at the same time or just the 30T first then the 70T later. I don't think the stock belt could handle doing the 70T by itself.

Ain't that the truth!
I went to a baker od6 for that very reason. Had them to space the gearing like I wanted. First 3 gears lower than factory 6 speed, slight jump to 4th then a slight jump to 5th no change for 6th.
I use first just to take off or stop with.

Nice! I would love to customize my tranny ratios. A little out of my budget right now though.
