Hey guys had my bike dynoed. I put on vance and hines 2 into 2 big radius more for looks than anything. SE heavy breather, Se pro tuner and a set of 254E Cams and i came out with 85hp 98ftlbs. Now wasnt sure if this was to low or right on the money. The Dealer was using a new dyno so wasnt very confident in these numbers. Thoughts?
I don't have any experience with the set up you used (cams, exhaust, cleaner).
Those results aren't bad but I expect that you could have got a little better.
I used the S&S 570 cams, D&D fatcat, RSD air cleaner, and I *think* the power commander V (don't hold me to that, I'd have to dig it out of a box to confirm it). But I got 92hp/97tq with a 96.
I'm sure others here could give you a lot more input though.
ya i kinda figured it was low . Might get it done at a different dealer next week down in phoenix
I'm not sure it's the dealer. If I had to guess it's probably your 2-2 exhaust that's robbing you of power. Like you, I went with a 2-2 (cobra speedster swept) for looks alone. The more I read the less satisfied I find myself with 2-2 exhaust performance...
Sound like good numbers with that setup. A good 2:1 pipe would bring them up. Those Vance and Hines radious, like you mentioned, are more for looks than power.
I usually get around 78/98 with that setup as a stage 1. The big radius aren't as bad as some people think. You're doing alright as far as hp, should have made over 100ft lbs no problem with a set of cams, although I haven't seen anything impressive from the 254e. Can you post the dyno sheet? That should reveal the quality of the tune.
