This is my first Harley. I have wanted one for a number of years. About 6 months ago I decided to buy but did not know a softtail from a dyna. After researching for severalweeks just on HD'S web site I decided it was going to be a dyna. I liked how the bike looked and the price. Then I found this siteand after reviews from alot of you good fellows I knew it also handled well to boot. After owning it for three months now I can say I made the right decision. Love the lowrider.I will be a Harley owner for life now as it is in my blood and I love it. Sometime down the road my taste may change but for the next forseeable future I will own a dyna.
Lets RIDE!
I was sold on the Dyna's when I saw the Aztec Gold bike in the 2000 accessories catalog. Unfortunately, I hava a wife who works with several guys that ride baggers and we went with a Road King. I liked the bike but still wanted a Dyna. There is just something about the look that hooked me, not to mention there are just too many Softails out there for my taste. I kept the RK until 2002 and sold it with the intentions of buying the Dyna but life got in the way and we bought a new house instead. As luck would have, last June I got a 2006 FXDCI for a "birthday present" and have already logged 2000 miles more with it than I did the RK. I think I'm in love!
If I had to have absolutely one motorcycle....I would get either a Road King, Road Glide, or Electra Glide.
At the time I bought my Bob I was looking at an Electraglide standard. The Bob was just under 16 OTD the Glide was 19.I've since spent over 2K on the Bob for intake, exhaust, tuners, saddlebags and I'm looking for a small windshield and debating whether I should get it dyno tuned or just trade it in on a Glide and eat 6K.
I wouldn't trade it for anything bigger. I rode an Ultra Classic for a day while the WG was in the shop for service. Nice for a day but, I sure wouldn't trade.
