I have several bikes with different grips on them. I have 2 fingerless gloves I wear as well as 2 sets of gloves. There is one set of each fingerless and gloves, I have the none padding for the bikes with larger grips and with padding inside the palm for the smaller grips..
It does help some but nothing like learning to relax is the best help you will get.
Lear to use the bike as a tool don't let it work you.
The motorcycle is a tool to get from one point to another. In order to truly understand the freedom and comfort a bike has to offer you must learn to use it for your benefit.
Learning to relax (up to a point) will provide you with years of great riding.
On my Dyna bikes I do not use any additive so I can relax or rest my hand or wrist. If your hand starts to cramp or tingle put your thumb on the upper portion on the grip where your fingers are. This will help some. A good grip will let you use your palm to hold the throttle. No need for a thumb rest or palm rest which ever you prefer to call em.
I would suggest paying attention to how tightly you are gripping and try to relax your grip.
I really think this is good advice. When I started riding I had an iron grip and began to feel it after awhile. As I got more relaxed and comfortable on a bike it went away. Still happens to me when I get a new bike until I get used to it tbh.
