Default Power vision is awesome

Back in January I put a set of SE.255 cams in my 96ci . All winter I have sat watching the snow ice and wind (the never ending winter) . Well riding is on in Indiana . I put about 100 miles on the new cams and started the Auto Tune . I got a Map from Fuel Moto and it was ok but just not right .
I had some popping and just not running the best . Last week I did an Auto Tune ran around 120 miles and loaded that . It ran better but still had the popping . Today I ran 180 miles and added that to last weeks down load . Tonight I went for a short ride the bike runs great no popping and tons of new power . I think for now I,m done with the Power Vision and it is going back in the box . I,s so easy to use I reset my idle to 850 and like that much better .

I tried the auto tune feature on mine and it was ok. But i want in to the tune and adjusted alot more settings on it and let me tell you there alot more umphh in there you can find if your willing to do adjustments on your own. Mine is not set anyplace near the EPA standards and they scooter dont run like it either.

Don't know if it's true or not but I was told not to set idle below 950 for oiling reasons.

When YOU GO IN how do you know what you're doing is right or wrong ?
Without a direction in mind it would be like taking a stab .

The Auto Tune does change things but in small doses that is why more than one or two runs are necessary kind of a safety thing .

And the reason would be ? Not just what you have heard .
The bike does not Idle much even at a stop light and on warm up it is on fast idle .

Most ppl keep it above 900rpm to reserve oil pressure. The slower the oil pump spins, the less you get. Don't forget splash lubricant on the cylinder wall. Feuling hi volume oil pump can produce 10-15psi even running at low rpm. I leave mine at 950rpm

And the other reason is the charging system. Charging voltage is dependent on RPM's and 850 usually isn't enough. Extended idle may cause battery discharge at low RPM's.

Welcome to the Power Vision family - the guys at PV are top notch.

I keep my idle at 1,050, sounds nice at that RPM without it sounding like it's lugging to stay running....

When I did my first autotune-run I lowered the idle to 960rpms. The bike vibrates alot more on 960 than stock. Didn't like the way the vibration transferred to the front of the bike under slow handling ( clutch pulled in/applying front break etc. ) so I took it back up again.

I think the TC sounds better the lower the idle, but between oilpressure-issues and vibrations Im keeping it stock...
