It is a little easier on the pre-2006 model year Dynas. As has been said, it can be done in an hour or so, depending on your mechanical abilities and how fast you work (and how many beer breaks you take). It is a pretty straight forward bolt on process, follow the directions, check your service manual for torque specs and you'll be riding pretty in no time.

Took me a few hours on my 07 SuperduperGlide, but then again I take alot of beer breaks. [sm=icon_guiness.gif]

I took the easy route and hid the shifter shaft behind the primary. Looks good enough for me on the outside.

Oh, forgot to mention I used Kuryakin 3' extended controls. Retail around 399.00 but used my new buyer coupon and got 'em for 320.00 from my stealer.

I have a set of forwards that I removed from my '04 FXD and installed them to my '06 FXDCI. The only thin that I had to purchase was a longer shifter rod for an '06 model. The price can run from $100 to $160 or so, it's what you might want.

Default RE: Question about forward controls

My dealer installed forward controls on my 07 Super Glide Custom, last week. $534 total.
He said it would be 3-4 hours..when I said I'd do it another time he said "come on down I'll put two guys on it"...
pretty sure just one guy worked on it and had it done in 90 minutes...
they're great... I bought all chrome pegs and have a hard time keeping my feet on them!
