I don't like it either. If I know there is supposed to be any rain I don't ride. The weather up here can be unpredictable though so I always have it on hand.
Poor MPG revisited. My 2014 LR always got 175-200mi between fill ups. 50MPG for 2 up highway and mid 40 in urban. Then I got a new rear tire at 9kmi. I purchased a Michelin Commander ii from a local independent shop and they installed it. MPG immediately dropped. Low 40's Highway and mid 30's city. I was stopping for gas every 125-150 miles. Unacceptable. It turned out that the independent shop had adjusted the belt tension a tad too tight. Adjusted the belt correctly and MPG went back to normal. It was amazing to me how such a small difference in belt tension made that big a difference in distance to fill ups..

Very good to know. What was the reason you got the new rear tire at 9000 miles?
BTW I have my Mustang Vintage Solo Wide on the bike now. Looking at it on the bike I think the standard width would suit the bike better but everyone says the wide is so much better. Still not sure if I needed all that width for my skinny ***. It is quite firm so I can see how it will need some seat time to break it in.
I got the new rear tire at 9k mi because the OEM Scorcher 31 rear flat out wore out. Mostly highway miles and very disappointing. Hopefully the Commander 2 will last longer. Oddly, I have 12k miles now on the Scorcher 31 front tire and it is still OK.
I will be interested to see how long mine lasts as my miles are mostly highway miles. At 3500 miles presently. Been too hot to ride for the last week. Hope to ride tomorrow.
Has anyone else had the rear wheel out of a 14 or 15 Low Rider with ABS brakes? The reason I ask is that there seems no logical positioning of the indicator pin which I presume is meant to stop the sensor spinning round, on the front wheel it is positioned correctly.

Finally got a ride in today. First ride in 10 days. Longest I have gone in a long time. Suppose to cool down nicely later in the week. Looking forward to commuting to work once again.
