Yes, and there's also shortages of tires. I recently went to my local dealer and purchased a set of Michelin's for the Dyna and Dunlop's for the Bagger. It was over $1,100 for the 2 sets, but when I need tires, I'll have them...I'm good for a couple of years now...
Figured that would be the case. Guess I will need to shop around.
I got a Metzler 888 front tire, for my FXDI, from Revzilla for $124 (including free delivery and sales tax). The local Inde is charging me $80 for installation.
I'm so glad that I have a really good local mechanic. He charges $50 for tire change. The only thing I take my bikes to the dealer for is the 2 year brake flush. My wrench won't do it because of insurance issues...

I had the tire installed yesterday and he only charged me $40.
I found a local power sports dealer that also sales and services a lot of harleys that does free tire installs when you purchase the tire there. Last time I checked they were about 20 bucks more on the cost of the tire than I could order for myself but the free install more than made up for it.
Called my dealer on Tuesday for the 40K service only to be told that the earliest I could get it was 9-28! Three weeks. Was never like this before. From 2015-2020 I could call on a Fri and have an appointment the following week.

The dealers are having a lot of trouble getting qualified workers. One of the local dealers will not even take appointments. You have to bring your bike over and leave it...when they get to it, they get to it. I had to do that twice for simple brake flushes. One of the other Harley dealers in the area lost their license, so they are covered up with bikes. When I was there getting a brake flush, I only saw 3 mechanics on the line. When I questioned one of the employees he said that they just can't find people...
I did my transmission and primary oil changes today at 33K. I do it every 10K. I was so pleased to see only a miniscule amount of metallic residue on the primary plug. On the transmission plug there was one very tiny piece of metal, that's it. Virtually no adjustment needed on the clutch either.
I've always used Red Line so I will keep using it.
So nice to see such minimal wear.

I only use Red Line lubricant's and have for years. I just had a full service on my Bagger and no metal at all, and that was at 39K miles...I do engine oil every 5K and gear and primary every 10K...when I did a Red Line "Shockproof" gear lubricant change at 5K miles, and it came out as thick and pink as the day it went in, I knew 5K was too soon...their products are not cheap, but they're the best...
