Just hooked up my 2016 lowrider with a Bassani road rage 2-1 short. Big thanks to the help of an awesome dude forum member Feileod. The bike looks and sounds incredible.
Sounds great and looks awesome. I was really impressed with the quality of the exhaust.
That is my Yamaha XT500 Scrambler. Its about a year and a half build that started with a $500 pile.
that brings back memories. I had a 79 XT500 when stationed in Cal in 79 and 80, put a lot of fun miles on it, and average 65mpg back when gasoline hit a buck a gallon, was inexpensive fun.
I did the New Year's run from WPB to Cocoa Beach (Cocoa Pier for New Year's) to Clermont to WPB run. Just over 400 miles in 3 days. We got caught in some unexpected weather in the 60's when leaving Clermont yesterday. Thankfully winter only lasted about 3 hours and no rain. Gorgeous riding weather now!
Yes I loved the old Yamaha 500's. I got to ride a TT500 The first year they came out. I think it was in about '76. It had a yellow and silver (polished?) tank. Incredible torque after only riding my 250 two stroke. Our friends owned the dealership in town and I used to hang out there and work for free putting bikes together as a teen.
Edit: I found a pic of one. It was a '78.

I am envious. Makes me wish I lived further south. I will stay in IL until I retire. When I do, it will be at least as far south as TN.
