Added the "BAD&G" battery cover bag. Had to locate and drill 4 holes in it. Surprised how soft the cover metal is. Drill went through it like "buttah."
The "Low Rider trim" was a bitch to remove. Ended up pouring MEK on the adhesive. That helped a lot! Here's some pics. Bear in mine that I have a "tallboy" seat installed. It's wider than the stock seat.
I would like to hear what you have to say about the tallboy seat. Im 6 ft and think I would like to be back a bit more. Do the dimensions of the seat work?
The seat advertises 2" up and 1.5" back. I didn't measure it but it does feel like it was a big help. This was a "deal maker" for me as I sometimes spend numerous hours/days in the saddle. Next, I'm going to add my GF's air hawk to see if that raises me up a little more.
One thing I didn't really think about is...I bought an HD quick release windshield in the 18" size. After I raised my seat a couple inches, the buffeting factor is alive and well. Now, I'm going to look at a "Laminar Lip" or something to lift the airstream up and over my helmet.
I like the seat but it looks like a "beached seal" from the side, but I don't have to look at it when I'm riding it!
Turn signal relocation finally complete. I definitely think it looks better then hanging on the bars. It should come out of the factory like this. Next up... The Bassani Road Rage and Screamin' Eagle A/C. I am still waiting for the A/C to arrive and I don't think I will have it by weeks end. What are your thoughts on doing the Bassani with the stock cleaner in place?

Looks nice. I would replace the stock air cleaner. I love the full Stage 1 I had done on my bike.

Oh I am definitely doing the A/C. I just haven't received it in the mail. I took off the next few days to do the exhaust A/C and ride since it will be in the 50's. I bought the A/C from Boardtracker Harley since it saved me $100. However I don't think it will arrive for me to do it between tomorrow and Sunday. So I was asking about thoughts around still doing the exhaust with the stock A/c in the interim. I guess I shoul dhave been more clear LOL. This is the A/C I'll be adding (with the DK Customs discreet breather system to re-route oil):
Bobbed the fender out...after chain drive took a piece off one side. Polishing up the 2/1 vance and hines comp series pipe. .574 reaper cams. Sportster rear lights on street bob rear wiring. Removed lowrider insignia on battery box. Progressive rear w bung king adapter risers. Bmc wall seat. 8" pull back risers, w sporty bars, made my own bark busters for tye bars. And moved the twin gauges off the tank to an fxdx Style. Heavy duty springs and ricor intimidators in front. bbc front mount
Made link for rear swing arm stabilizer. And watts link for rear motor mount. Sdc customs front fork brace and gators for looks....memphis shades cafe style fairing. Gonna paint it myself pretty soon. 24/57 chain drive...installing next .030 cometic heads gaskets...manley race flow valves and a clean up of the head casting flaws.

What gauge mounts did you use to do this? The FXDX dual mount? What did you have to do to the wiring to get them up there. I really want to do this to my Lowrider, and right now I'm just using my Power Vision as gauges.

Just traded my Street Glide for a Low Rider. Sure put the FUN back in riding. Street Glides are very nice motorcycles, but for everyday use, they were overkill for me. I'm done with long trips, so no need for a bagger anymore. Always LOVED the dyna family. They are true "riders" motorcycles.
Anyone have any thoughts on the FatCat? Never heard of it before, but it's a complete system, not a slipon. Sounds really good.
2014 FXDL....D&D FatCat exhaust, SE Heavy Breather, Stage One, forward controls, new grips, and a few other goodies.....
Great looking bike my friend! I have been looking at and comparing 2 into 1 exhaust systems for a few years and the D&D brand is as good, if not better, than any system on the market. The finish quality, fit and brackets are top of the line. As others have said, sound is a personal preference. As long as you like the sound you have a top notch system to go along with a top notch motorcycle.
that is a nice looking set up. Have been trying to find a better place to mount the ignition switch on the LR, always thought should be mounted on the frame instead of the motor as would be less vibration for the switch.
