Got up to 60 today. Went to start the bike and it would not start. Appears to be the battery. It is the original battery that came with the bike. It is not even 2 years old. Battery has been charged with a Battery Tender Jr that I bought when I got the bike. Battery was charged Sat and all appeared fine. Guess I now need to add new battery to the list of things I need (also new tires). Would have liked to have gotten more than 22 months out of a battery.
Yeah, the stock hd batteries are garbage. I had to replace mine at 23 months. I picked up a duracell battery from Batteries plus for like 85 bucks, I think there is an online coupon somewhere.
Ike, I had the same problem, your original battery has a two year warranty. My dealer called and told me it was 175 or something to replace, I told him the battery itself says two years on it. A couple hours later I got a call to come pick up my bike. Brand new battery, no charge. That was at like 22,or 23 months
Good to know. Will see how things go tomorrow. Taking day off to get it done. My dealer has generally been a straight shooter when it comes to service. Will be interesting to see what they tell me.
I love my FXDL, EXCEPT for the ugly little black horn. Does anyone make a chrome cover for it, to brighten it up a little anyway? I've searched google, but not come up with much.
Nobody knows? For such a nice motorcycle, Harley sure skimped on the horn. Reminds me of those "C" battery bicycle horns I had as a kid. No, I think those were louder!
Thanks, that's exactly what I was going for! Plus I find drag bars to be very comfortable since I spent years riding sport bikes.
Do those bars pullback more then the stock bars with the stock risers?

You could yell and point a gun at them.. should do the trick.
Im in that same boat actually, I picked this up last fall bone stock for a steal, and the green was a big -, not a +. I had intended to paint it, but, as my design kinda came together and I got rid of a ton of the ugly, I really like the green! Well see if it weathers the year or not.
Bought it from a broker, some RUB owned it for two years and only put 46 miles on it
Nice. Gotta love people who buy a new HD and never ride it. HD Garage Queens are great way to get a almost new bike for much less than you would have shelled out at the dealer.

I bought my bike with the intention of making her a garage queen...alas, she turned into a dirty ***** that gets ridden everyday.....
