Thank you. That is actually the BMC the wall seat. They do look very similar. The wall pushes you back about 1.5" versus the stock FXDLS seat. I think their website suggests one being 5'10" or greater for the wall seat.
I believe I have read on this forum that the LD seat does push you forward a bit. Think saddleman makes a seat too that has the same look and pushes you forward a bit as well.
Oh, I'm about 5" away from 5'10". Thanks for the feedback. Didn't know about the saddlemen. I'll look it up too.

stonei3, your bike looks great. I love the speedo and tach being where it should be--in front of the rider. I am not a fan of having it on the tank. I noticed that the gas station has 85, 87, and 91 grades to choose from. I have never seen an 85 octane grade of gas. All the Shell stations in my area are 87, 89, and 93.

Thanks man. Speedo/Tach out in the view is the way to go. A much more enjoyable ride.
Welcome to octanes out West. I've gotten used to it. Seems to me the only place you can get 93 is further out East. Not real sure where the cut off is.
Seems like most LR have changed their seats. I think I am one of the few still using the factory seat. Compared to the seats on my previous sport bikes, which were nothing but a little pad, the LR seat feels like a Lazy Boy to me. I can only imagine how comfy the aftermarket seats are.
I'm running the stock seat as well. It does need to be replaced though.
I recently changed the Leather Badlander for a custom C&C SportTour, with the gel inserts. Man. Night and day difference! We did 300 miles last Saturday, and I could not believe it! The wife hated the Badlander, she got a bad case of monkey muffin
Love this seat!
Whats the height difference? I'm a short chump. Already on the ***** of my feet.
You guys talking about details makes me want to do it or have it done.
Been riding quite a bit lately with the nice weather and loving every minute of it. Little 45 minute trek after work today in mostly stop and go traffic with ET hitting 307* and Temp on my oil dipstick gauge showing 263*. Ambient was 80*. Thinking hard about an oil cooler or the mighty mite fans. Hate how those damn fans look but it's greater than that... I like the hidden feature of the oil bud oil cooler but not quite convinced it is the best at its job on the market, plus the price tag is steep.
Yeah man what is in your console now? the top section looks like a digital display of some sort. Was that cover an aftermarket part. I'd love to do that swap on mine to get the speedo/tach on the bars
Anyone here seen the 2018 HD Dealer Color Chart yet? Curious as to whether the LR S is going to be offered in any colors other than black.
About to hit 16000 miles. Been getting a lot of riding in.
We're close!. Having the 15k done tomorrow. It's such a ripoff. I can do the fluids myself and torques things. It's a matter of finding everything that needs to be torqued and knowing what to look for on other part as far as wear goes.

That should be on the service manual. I just it 1k and the shop takes care of that one. I'm planning on doing the rest of them myself so the manual will be my best friend.

What brand is that speedo/tach combo, looks sweet. Does the small display circles through the info like the stock one?
