Those gauges look like the stock ones, just moved up off the console. As for what's in the dash now, looks like a timing cover and a Power Vision...really want to move my gauges up to the bars...
Yeah I have the service manual, I'll check again but I didn't see much detail on the services and especially how to gauge the wear. Some things call for specialty tools as well.
Yeah man what is in your console now? the top section looks like a digital display of some sort. Was that cover an aftermarket part. I'd love to do that swap on mine to get the speedo/tach on the bars
That top display is a PV. A member on here made that dash cover for me and then i had it PC'd. If you want more info PM me and i'll dig up his user name.
What brand is that speedo/tach combo, looks sweet. Does the small display circles through the info like the stock one?
Those are the original gauges that came on the bike. The small display circles are not functional as all of that info is displayed on the gauges. Would have loved to be able to order the mount without the mini display circles. If you're interested, here are the parts that I ordered to move the gauges up to the bars:
P/N: 2361 x1 - Back Plate Screws (5 pack)
P/N: 67319-95 x2 - Tach Cover (also used for Speedo)
P/N: 67344-97 x2 - Rear Rubber Cushion
P/N: 63745-97 x2 - Front Rubber Cushion
P/N: 67338-97 x1 - Speedo/Tach Bracket

No worries. I didn't plan to go that route until cvaria started the subject.
Keep in mind too that you will need to extend your wiring, I used BBC's kit from their website for many reasons, one of them being my hate for electrical gremlins. You will also need something to mount the bracket to the bars, I used Lucky Daves mount cause I'm a fan of that business and it looks good. Plenty of other mounting options out there though.

That sounds good. I have Lucky Dave's bar with Big Al raisers. Should work well.

We're close!. Having the 15k done tomorrow. It's such a ripoff. I can do the fluids myself and torques things. It's a matter of finding everything that needs to be torqued and knowing what to look for on other part as far as wear goes.
What does your dealer charge for the service? My dealer charges $340 for a full AMS synthetic servicing. Seems there is a wide-range of prices among dealers.
Would be nice if the guages came from the factory the way stonei3 has them on his bike. Best possible location for them. And when you remove them from the tank, you got then have the ignition on the tank like many other HDs.
