Thanks, When I asked my local Harley dealer he said all he was selling was the detachables and I should look aftermarket. Maybe I misunderstood. I'll check at another dealer.

Yes, I have them on my 2015 LR and had them on my '06 LR. Actually the only reason I put them on is for my wife, but she rarely rides on the LR, as she prefers the comfort of the bagger...
Got a chance to put the new shocks through their paces on Mulholland - headed back this way after a run up to Neptune's Net in the middle of a huge birthday ride. There had to be at least 50 bikes, mostly Dynas...lot of fun

I purchased a 2014 lowrider in the late fall. Harleys are new to me and I'm looking forward to the spring big time. Only have had metrics when I was young. It came set up for solo so I already added the passenger pegs and a 2 up seat. If my wife is going to get on it I'll need a backrest and want to be able to occasionally ride it to our summer home in Wisconsin. I thought I could put on the sissy bar with backrest pad and also the rear luggage rack for strapping a bag to for the rides there. I read a lot of posts regarding problems with the detachables rattling so that's why I was leaning towards the solid mount sideplates vs. the detachables. I don't think rattling would be a problem if she's on it but I was concerned if I'm on it alone for 3 hours with the sissy bar in place the rattling could be an issue.

I have the detachable set on my 14 low rider, do not notice rattling with exception of my bags with the easy brackets rattle over bumps but only when unloaded.
have been on a couple 2k mile trips with my set up with the wife on back.

My Street Bob's detachables rattled pretty good when riding solo. Irritated me.
I put solids on my Low Rider just for that reason.
Now the baffles in my mufflers started rattling.
Always something.
Yes, the detachable sissy bar rattles some when riding solo, but that's why it's detachable. When riding solo, take it off...when your wife is with and you're riding 2 up, it won't rattle...
