My dealer called today to tell me that it was in fact a defective gasket that needed to be replaced. Turns out it was not the external breather system I have. They said their first replacement back in April did not do the job. Fixed it at no cost to me. Getting my bike back tomorrow.
Thanks. I got some riding in Sat and Sun and I just hit 23000 miles today. Looks like dealer got the problem fixed.
Good for you! I've been riding my LR quite a bit as the Bagger is down for voltage regulator. Should have that replaced today or tomorrow. I rode 135 miles yesterday and looks like I averaged a little over 50 MPG!!! I usually get 45-46 MPG and 42 MPG when I hotdog it....phenomenal bike! I rode 234 miles last Sunday and the bike is just a blast to ride...time for 1st 10K service on it, so both bikes will be in the shop thiis week...
I really didn't want to take my FXDL through a ford; thankfully my mate realised he could ride his bike over the pedestrian bridge, and I followed. It's good to have a friend who sees the solutions rather than the problems!

If this were advrider, the results would have been 180 degrees from yours, with the same exuberance.
Hoping I can get out and get some miles in after a long week of having to drive the truck back and forth to work. This was from last weekend, stopped in Dana Point for an impromptu shoot...

Lost my rain sock about 2 weeks ago. Looked every where for it but it must have fallen out of my pocket. Needed to buy a replacement sock and thought such a thing would be $5 to $10. No, it was $25! Bet it costs K&N about a $1 to make it.
