Likewise, I took a 55 mile ride, when I got back home I washed and dried the bike, and now it's gonna be parked for a while.

Battery tender currently plugged in and charging. Already wanting to ride but know it will be a few months before that is a reality again.

Wishing I was in your shoes. All I have been doing for the last three weeks is plugging the battery tender in and out.

Rode for first time in over a week here. I cut new spacers and changed to yet another fork oil weight over the weekend and was down just below freezing last few mornings heading to work. Rode today man bike feels so planted and stable. Too bad it's supposed to rain a good bit over next few days.

Tried to ride to work today, stock battery finally bit the dust, but she was looking good on Tuesday. Plus side, my new West Coast TBars should be here by next week. Went with 16" ones, little more of a bend in the bars and a little more height to bring them back towards me, being 6'2", all torso with trex arms, the 14's feel too short, like I'm reaching for them.

Not much I like anymore about California, but I'll be damned if we don't have the nicest "winters" in the country...

Yeh dyna you have the good winter. Ours in Louisiana are still able to be ridden in but damp and high humidity suck. Somehow today it was 63 today so rode again to work. Now hoping rain stops by time to go home.

Battery is dead notwithstanding proper charging with battery tender for the last month. Original factory batter died when bike was still under warranty. Got about 2 years out of it. Now the replacement battery is dead. It too last about 2 years.

Anyone got a battery recommendation? Looking to get the best.

I'm sure a lot of folks will disagree, but, I don't believe in continuous use of a battery tender or any other charging device. I believe they ultimately shorten the life of the battery. I've had good luck charging them for a day or so every month or so during winter months. Also, I avoid bringing them inside during the winter; all chemical reactions proceed more quickly when warm, including battery degradation.

I sold one of my bikes in October and the battery was almost 7 years old and still going strong.

Had same issue with my first battery, lasted two years and died. Was covered under warranty. Replacement is still going strong. Ah, I hope.
