Yes; new Dyna's have a RPM/Gear display; as LR has a separate tach.

As far as shields go, I'm using a 17'' Clearview that mounts to the HD Super Sport quick release hardware. It's a lot more solid than the stock HD shield and is is 1.5'' wider and lower. It also has a recurve so a 17'' works fine for me at 5'11''. I can easily see over the shield and get very little buffeting. Check out clearviewshields.com.

Wonder how the 17 inches which is their lowest works for me at 5'7"...Im going to measure me on my softail. Looks like a nice product and good price...if I like and can also switch my deflector from my FXDL to my Softail Deuce.

Doing a little research on some used Low Riders and I find most do not have dual brake discs on the front. Interesting

The new ones do. Not sure about old ones as prior to 2014 I was not even thinking about getting a HD.

As a shorter rider, I also appreciate the mid-mount controls of the LR over the forward controls.

Thanks.

Question, do the new LRiders have the wide forks or are they the same as the Sporties (sporty front end)?

Default V&h 16801

Hi fleetway - I'm interested in the V&H 16801 slip on but have been told its no louder than the stock item. What's you opinion?

Also, how much longer is it than standard? Can't really judge in the photos you posted.
Hi Neale, the V&H is definitely noisier than stock, but not as loud as the old SE Slash Cuts, it's a little longer yes, but not that noticeable, one thing I've noticed, I haven't scraped it on the floor yet, where as I was in danger of wearing the standard silencer through!!

Default Screaming Eagle Stage 1 Filter Kit.

Has anyone else fitted one of these Air Filters? I fitted one of these myself today having been assured by the dealer that it wouldn't affect my warranty, despite there being a note in the instructions! My question is, that it does state that the ECM must be recalibrated using the HD Digital Technician, will the recalibration already done by my FP3 Fuelpak (V&H 16801 Slip On fitted) suffice? I suspect another Autotune will be needed.

I had one of their small recurves on a previous bike and I loved it. The one thing about this one that has me wondering is how little clearance there seems to be between the headlight cutout and the headlight. With the LRs chrome headlight hat, seems like that might make the fit awfully tight, no?
