I found a black dash to replace the chrome one on the on line classifieds.

Got rid of the HD locking gas cap and replaced it with the HD black diamond cut one and powder coated the gas gauge bezel black.

Added a K&P Engineering lifetime oil filter.

This will be the last of the mods for this year.

This is how it looks for now.

I will black out a few more things on it this winter, and wake up this dog of a motor with a S&S 98" big bore kit.

I was wondering where this DXT ended up! I've seen it come through Prairie H-D in Regina twice now over the last few years and I missed out on it both times. Looks like it went to a good home...you've definitely got it on the right path.

I will be starting the winter mods on my FXDXT this week.
First up will be the front end.
I will be putting in Race Tec springs and Gold Valves and adding a Custon Cycle Engineering fork truss.
The fork sliders and triple trees will be powder coated black and the fork truss will be anodized.

Wow, I've been missing out, first time I've seen this thread! That's like a one in a million bike, it's gorgeous!

That purple paint is right on the money, really like what you've done with it too, great job!

I'd like to have a fairing just like that, I wonder if it fits on my lower bars, probably would huh.

Cheers

Those pullback risers setting the gauges straight up and down is awesome. Probably my favorite mod. Can't wait to see the front end blacked out and a black pipe. Great bike

I am also changing up the risers and gauge mount set up.
I have a satin finish super trapp 2-1 on order that will remain that color.
I have always liked the way those pipes turn color.

Stellar build, thanks for resurrecting the post with this year's mods. Did you say you put a 103 in there as well?

I am gathering the parts for the 98" big bore using primarily S&S parts throughout.
If I have to get in to the bottom end it will turn into a 124"
