Btw I love your bike, it's one of the best looking Dyna's I've ever seen!
Thanks man.

I talked to Progressive's tech support yesterday about shortening the spacer, and they said not to take off more than an inch for safe operation, and do it in 1/4" increments. I took off a 1/2" and found the ride much improved. I may take off another 1/2" today. It appears their preload adjuster has about an inch of travel, so I can easily make up the difference if it's too short.

The performance at high speed on the freeway is much better, but low speed (under 50mph) on bumpy road is pretty harsh. I'm still messing with spacer height to get a better ride since the spring is a one-size-fits-all progressive wind. Even with the adjuster backed all the way off, I had almost no sag at first. I only weigh 155, so heavier riders might be fine with the out of the box set up.

There is no adjustment for rebound or compression, just preload, but for the cost ($336 shipped from M&M cycles), these are pretty hard to beat. I had more than that invested in my previous set up.

The install is a PITA compared to Intiminators and springs (which literally just drop in), but never having to worry about blown seals or change fork oil again is worth the effort IMO.
Nice to hear you made the switch, you must like to spend money (same as myself) !!!!!!!!!!! LMAO..........

With all the time and effort with your previous set up, I was surprised to hear you did it........
So give me a straight up no BS comparison between the 2 ????????

I am very satisfied with what the Ricor's with Progressive's spring's did, compared to the stock set up which was horrible........ But I still think there is a fine line between to stiff and to soft, I have found a setting that works fairly well for both 75 mph + freeway riding and below 50 mph road riding, but will still bottom out over large bump's or pothole's. Do not think I can ever get rid of that with what we have to work with..........
Bottom line the front and rear end mod's I have done, are head and shoulder's above what came stock from the MOCO...........
So anyway, let me know what your thought's are on the overall performance ?
It seem's it may be awhile before they have anything ready for the Fatbob, maybe next year sometime..........for the monotube's......

I saw what appears to be 2 different monotube set ups from progressive. One seems to be a cartridge on one side and a spring on the other (on the progressive site, this is the one that came up), while the other version I saw looked like a spring on either side with a cartridge on top of the spring (saw these on ebay). Which set up are we talking about here? Are there actually 2 different set ups or are the ebay ones just a wrong picture associated to the product?

The Ebay picture is incorrect as usual, people are to lazy to take the correct picture for the item for sale............
Progressive website is correct with cartridge on one side and spring on the other.

In my opinion, either mod (monotubes or ricors w/springs) is remarkably better than the stock configuration. I consider the stock front end just dangerous above 65 mph.

I switched from the ricor/spring set up to this because I was able to get those dialed in for either high speed freeway OR side street twisties, but not both. I'm still messing with the spacer height for the monotubes to get a more compliant ride at low speed, but freeway handling is definitely better than the ricor/springs, especially on long sweepers at high speed.

If you are happy with the ricor/spring set up, I wouldn't recommend switching just for a performance improvement unless you are riding at high speed over uneven super slab and/or you just want to get away from oil changes and blown seal worries.

I recommend ordering from someone who will ensure you get the newer version, which has a progressive wind spring on one side, and a gas cartridge on the other. The manufacture date sticker on my box was marked 7/7/14 and I ordered from M&M Cycles (mandmcycles.com).

Guys...actually, there are at least 2 different setups. For my 41mm Wide Glide forks...both sides have cartridges and springs, and is usually what is pictured.
