I've been looking hard at the short shots, havent got to hear a set in person. Waitin to catch a guy riding around with them. What did you have on it before to compare it to? And is it a deep tone or raspy? And di you remap?
Btw bike looks great!
Compared to other pipes i found them to be tinny sounding.
I used the quiet baffles which weren't really quiet, but they deepened the tone to a more pleasant sound.
I still think they are the worst sounding pipes and was glad to get rid of them...but if I were you I would definitely try to hear them in person.
After slip ons, these were the first full set of pipes I tried...mostly because of the cheap price. Longshots where better and kept the exhaust soot off the swingarm.
I added quiet baffles to mine and hard kore baffles at the end of those. Doesn't sound tinny in the least bit. I don't know what they sound like any other way because I did it all new and installed them. Maybe they are tinny just normally.... I think its exactly the sound I wanted, won't **** off the neighbors but sounds like a modified harley with deep rumble.
But going by looks only, wish I would've got the V&H radius pipes instead. Just trying to save a few bucks.
I have a love hate relationship with my short shots... they sound pretty good, so much better than stock. That being said they pop and spit and shoot flames out on decel. I haven't tuned the bike yet however that's next on my list. I found them brand new for $200 at my local dealer and just couldn't pass up the deal
I did this to my shortshots and it mellowed the sound out a bit. It also cut down on the decel pop a bit. Worth a try for a few bucks. Might or might not satisfy you, but if it does work, a ton cheaper than the quiet or BCT baffles.

I had stock pipes before. I love the sound of the short shots. Mine are loud, not tinny. I also put on a V&H fuelpak. Now I slide off the back of my seat when I open the throttle. So happy I did it. My bro has the big radius and my pipes sound better to me.
