Default Electrical distribution box for Heritage Softail

Under the seat of my 2011 Heritage Softail is a nightmare. I have five accessories wired direct to the battery as well as Dynojet Target tune. I would like to get a distribution box to make all the wiring a lot neater but the problem I have is there is no space to put one. If anyone has any ideas or has dealt with a similar problem I would be glad for any advice.

Simple! Rewire all your accessories via a relay, using a single fused power wire. You can put the relay wherever you like. Use a simple auto lighting relay, available anywhere, which should come with wiring instructions.

A distribution block would be a better choice than a relay, it is going to have a large wire going from the battery, just like the relay would have, but some distribution blocks will have fuses for each circuit, and connection points already available.

The space on the front of the rear fender extension maybe?

You might be able to move some accessories up to the space between the forks, behind the tin cover.

Dan I have been thinking that's the way to go. I have been looking at this below it doesn't have any fuses so I could fit it behind the rear splash guard. I wouldn't need access http://www.rowe-electronics.com/modules. A bit expensive but should clean up a lot of my wiring

I was thinking about one of the el cheapo fuse blocks you see all over the internet.

In the event of a short to ground on one of the circuits, will the unit indicate which circuit is shorting?

How much does it cost?

You can have Six Acc connected and it has a light on each circuit green, Amber and red. Red there is a short, Amber the circuit is tripped and green good. To reset simply turn ignition on and off so no need for fuses. You can program it for the amps of individual circuits and a delay after switching your ignition on and off. Cost is around $200. It is completely waterproof as well.
