I am going through the same thing with my new RK, just the faintest of chirps, it works like that when the alarm is set off too, just super faint but the lights are flashing just no siren. I sent it back to the seller who sent a new one, he has been great, I find it hard to believe that both sirens are bad. Not any real way to screw it up since it plugs in directly to the stock plug, green/white to black and red to red. Some weird thing Harley has done to make you buy their siren at 4 times the price?

I was thinking the touring models were slightly different wiring, but I don't know for sure. I used a voltmeter to verify my wiring when I was still unsure. Set off the alarm (lights flashing) then see where 12V is on the plug. Wait for the alarm to shut off, then see if that same voltage turns off.
So I put my meter on the plug, with bike shut off it has constant 12.5v to the red + green/white and constant 12.5v to green/white + black. When I trigger the alarm voltage drops to .866v and siren does not sound. Shouldn't it be going off with a constant 12.5 volts to it even when off? It goes off when I hook a battery straight to it but not when the mystical Harley power is connected to it.

When you say "When I trigger the alarm voltage drops to .866v"... .866v measured between which two wires?
