I am not sure that my battery is charging. I have been putting it on a trickle charger each night since I got a new battery. The first day I was out riding with the new battery after letting it sit for a few hours it would not start and I had to jump it to get it home.
I am not sure yet if I have a voltage regulator or stater problem. But now it makes this strange noise whenever I have it hooked up to the trickle charger.
What kind of trickle charger ? I had mine on a new style Deltran Battery Tender and i was getting a pulsing buzzing noise back though the alarm siren. It does not do it while using the older tender.

I have a different style charger at home. When I get home Ill hook it up to that and see if it still making that noise .
btw, when I take it off the trickle charger and start it, then put it back on it stopped making the noise...
Does not look like a trickle charger, looks like a 10 amp fast charger, probably cooked your battery if you left it on and it does not have auto shut-off.

wrong...
it has 3 different amp settings with the lowest being 2 amps
It's probably the IAC motor cycling because the relay got water in it - known issue and a past bulletin. It would kill the battery because the IAC just kept running with the key off due to the relay being shorted.
Can't hear the noise well but from your description I believe that's the direction you should look.
