Default 2018 softail security fob question

Recently purchased my bike new from someone who won it. When i picked it up he only had 1 fob. I would like to have a backup. I know an actual fob can be purchased for $40-50. But that is not programmed to the bike. Is there a way for me to program the new fob myself?

If you know of anyone that has a CENTURION SUPER PRO? I know it will program a fob plus a million other things. Some Indy's might have one?

If its just for backup, get familiarized with the bypass code process. Then spend the $100-$150 when you have to. I believe there is a wallet size card in the owners manual.

Many, but not all dealers have a minimum one hour labor charge for any procedure. The job time manual shows 0.3 hours labor to assign a fob. Make some calls, and find a dealer that will charge by the book, or combine the fob assignment with other service to get your one hour's worth.
