I think you are trying to say the Tach needs to interface to the serial bus to get RPMs.. As far as I can tell the 06 ECM still has a Tachometer output which should be 1 pulse per rev.
The tach signal is already at the speedo connector even though the wiring diagrams do not show a wire from the ECM pin 3 but it is a digital output signal not a ppm signal as you would get from the coil connection. There is not a good point to tie into the BE/O wire on the coil to get an analog tach signal.

Well, if that's the case the y cable to the coil primaries is the only answer for that tach.

I can make the splitter with a couple resistors and diodes. I will try the signal hook up qt the ECM.
