Hi have a 08 fatboy thats was sitting for a couple months battery was dead tried to jump it got one crank then nothing. Went to buy a new battery, old one was not holding a charge. Replaced the battery went to turn it on and nothing. lights come on fuel pump primes just doesnt turn over, no clicking or anything.
replaced both batteries including fob I took the starter relay off (also replaced) and jumped 30 and 87 got the bike to turn over and run but shut off.
Not sure if its the starter button on the bars or what. one thing I did notice is my rear turn signals are not turning on not sure why or how to check why they wouldnt be working iv been trying to research how to check no luck any advice would be appreciated.
now After reading and researching I believe I fried my tssm is there a way to test it?

Hello first off I'm new here so I hope I'm in the right place my name is "Ynotitsme"I ride a 2002 Harley Davidson Heritage softail Classic EFI. I bought this bike used a few weeks back with 19,000.00 original miles. The bike didnt come with a Key or Fob. I purchased this bike used off of lady friend of mine whose brother that passed away used to own this bike. I Recieved the bike with a dead battery no key no key fob. I bought installed a battery. I then sprayed bit of starting fluid into the throat of the throttle body. I then with the ignition on & the tried to start bike using starter button. To no luck of my own did the bike come roaring to life. Start button unresponsive. I Then with handlebar switched in the run position I Depress down on top of the starter relay with my thumb or index finger to bring points together and the bike will start for a second the die out..... I also have no turn signals whatsoever I have all the running lights brake lights turn signal switches do nothing when depressed in any sequence. Turn signals do absolutely nothing when switches are depressed speedometer doesn't give any codes. Followed the instructions for the procedure through a forum I read....with the left right turn signal do nothing at all period. Please bail me out if at all possible All potential help is great appreciation in advance. Thank you everybody for any & all help offered..... All thoughts Facts are encourged...
Just an update on my end I got my tsm in the mail yesterday but it in today and in the process of doing the relearning on the plus side the bike did start and shut off unlike when I tried with the tssm (it was completely fried)
so update learning process is done and but with a twist. I followed the original process to a T 3 times and didnt not have success. I researched more and saw a post with the same process but without the on off on off on off on and the turn left signal twice tried that and it worked. Wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped out

New new update so after letting the bike sit for a till later in the afternoon I was going to go for a ride and tried starting it. It turned over but did not start got these codes, but I did notice I did not hear the fuel pump prime checked the fuse and its good
Looks like the fuel injectors were disabled due to incorrect password. Unfortunately it looks like the TSSM may have been alright but rather an issue with the ECM instead. That P1009 code is the give away, the other two are the front fuel injector open and the rear fuel injector open.
