I couldn't find a 2000 manual but the 2001 shows you probably have a circuit breaker, unless someone changed it. #5 in the list.

Thanks , that is what I seem to be finding . Now if I can just find the Circuit Breaker !!??? I have to go search some more .
Thanks

Well ,left for a little ride today got over an hour up the road and stopped at Mini-Mart for the wife to make a pit stop . We left the market and headed up the road got about 3 miles and we were climbing a hill , going thru the gears 2nd , 3rd and the BIKE DIED !
Lost all electrical power . No power anywhere.

Pulled the seat off ,checked fuses, they're all 10 & 15 amp fuses and they are all good. I'm looking for a Main Fuse ,like a 40 amp ?? Is there such a thing on a 2000 Electra Glide ?
I don't see anything . Battery checks out fine, it's only 5 days old. Wiring all looks good.

Anyone have any ideas?? Had a friend with a trailer haul us home . Thank you !
1. Pay no attention to folks who crap on your description and what transpired when the incident occurred, they are just trolling to get a response. Sometimes the additional information provided gives a clue to what went wrong.

2. You said a Motor Trike Kit was installed, did you receive a manual for the electrical? They may have changed something in the wiring that is not in the OEM Manual.

3. Looks like you have a 50 Amp circuit breaker (Fuse) per the OEM parts diagram; however, it may have been changed during the installation of the Trike Kit.

4. See your part below. Ref: 31; 74600-94A, FUSE,50AMP, This part replaces 74600-94, Price: $12.73

The diagrams provided by the forum members should make it rather easy to identify the circuit breaker.
Keep in mind that we can not see or touch the bike so sometimes information is important.
Something like "Battery has been tested " means different things to different people.. Tested for voltage? or Load tested?
The circuit breaker is a rectangle shape. About 1.75 inches by 0.75 inches. Similar in size to a toy LEGO block.
If you put palm of hand on the battery top the breaker should be right in front or behind it on frames around that time...Kinda lonely part with the black plastic one rivet holder keeping breaker in place.
Circuit breaker will have TWO screw/bolt thread like posts with several wires to it and ONE nut to each post holding wires.
You can test the breaker. It might be working correctly.
A hard/constant short will not allow reset.
If somebody left a roll of wires under the seat for LED lights then perhaps you have a short. Very near the circuit breaker or battery. Did anybody add anything electrical in the last year?
Keep in mind that if someone struggled with the battery removal or the drop-in install due to battery weight then there is a possibility that a wire was scrubbed and wire lost its insulating cover.
That is why i asked who changed battery.
Some people do not know they can use a couple of PLASTIC zip lock ties on battery post bolt in order to lift or lower battery and avoid scrubbing nearby stuff.

They reset on their own I believe. So yes, buy a new one. There were newspaper articles about this back in the day.

Well, It didn't reset by itself overnight ,but maybe once I took it out and banged it around. .
But doesn't matter ,I bought a new one and it appears to be working fine.,
It was unseasonably hot yesterday 85 and I have the lowers on up front and it was HOT !! So maybe being old and the heat helped cause it ,I don't know

Oh ,and it located in front of the battery on my 2000 Electra Glide . You have to remove the battery to get to it . Just in front of battery between frame rails

Thanks everyone ,I'll test it out today close to home

My point was get a new one its bad. I was just mentioning they do reset, I believe, which can make you think they are ok.

Harley has since went to a maxi fuse instead of the breaker. They have also increased the size of the breaker since they came out. Hopefully improved the, since the problems they were having. People were threadtening lawsuits, claims of tying in traffic and people getting hurt. I never had a problem. Mine 2qs 20 years old so I just replaced it.

I started replacing relays on my bikes to for lights and starting. Need to check list and see how far I got.
