Default Jump pack cable??

Get your flamethrowers ready.....I was thinking. Does anybody make an adapter so that you can use your battery tender cable and plug that into a jump pack? Be a heckuva lot easier to jump. Now I fully realize you don't want to set there and crank/crank/crank on that set up. The battery tender wire is probably not big enough to handle that for long, but most modern FI bikes start up pretty quick, so it wouldn't take a whole lot. Or is this something I'd have to fab up myself? Like I said, just thinking. TIA.

You don't say what bike, but that tender wiring won't handle it. For my Street Glide if the need arises I'll just use the starter lug, and ground it somewhere. For my Heritage, I bought this adapter for my NOCO jump box.

They make adapter cables; however, battery tender SAE cables are not a heavy enough gauge to handle the amperage for jump starting.

You will blow that fuse instantly and possibly wire damage. It's what, a 5 or 10 amp fuse? The bike uses a couple/few 100 amps to crank over.

Run a dedicated wire from the battery like this

EC5 connector fits most jump packs.

I installed the NOCO GBC007 boost adapter to use with my NOCO boost pack. It doesn't work with all of their boost packs so be sure to check the compatibility.

As others have said, the charging harness is only for charging and can't carry sufficient current for starting. On the other hand, the boost adapter has heavier cables and is designed for the jump starting.

Thanks folks, for confirming what I kinda already figured. I guess in the back of my mind I was thinking of other folks/bikes. I have a jump pack and jumper cables in all my vehicles and wind up using them to help other folks out (knock, knock) far more than I ever have for myself...why should bikes be any different. Left to my own devices I planned on fabbing up a heavier cable for my own uses but that still left moving seats and other stuff for everybody else. I'll take a look at the cables you folks recommended...I can probably get one of those for what I would put into building one anyway. I'll save the jumping off the starter as a last resort, but that is a viable option in a pinch. Thanks folks, y'all are the best. Ride safe.

Just for clarification, on the OP's bike it's the 20 amp P&A fuse.

I use this with NOCO GB40 and Battery Tender Plus. Leads connect to battery. Easy Peasy. The GB40 will jump my 45hp tractor.

Not sure if you know, but a good way to jump a majority of bikes is via the starter solenoid. Jump pack on the battery post of the solenoid, brummm. I understand this doesn't work on some bikes but so be it, can't help em all.
