So sorry to post this I'm sure it's been beaten to death, however... I have a 04' Road King Custom with FI which I have converted to a bagger. It has 40K miles on it now with Stage 2 tuning.
I would like to perform the upgrade to the cam chain tensioners. Probably the Screamin Eagle hydraulic adjustor upgrade with the better oil pump. Would do the S&S gear drive update but I'm not sure the pinion gear will be within suggested .003 runout, but I will consider if it is.
Does anyone know of a shop that will discount the Screamin Eagle parts? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
If you have bought the bike recently I suggest you take a look inside the timing chest first. It is not uncommon to find that a PO has already made changes in there!
As for discounts, the dealers Stiggy mentions are regular on-line discounters, however come winter some local dealers offer discounts on occasions, so it would be worth asking around.
