Default Cam Tensioner Upgrade 95"

I had a Stage 2 95" kit installed in my Wife's 03 Springer around 2009 50,000k it now has 85,000k and I want to upgrade the tensioner. It has SE2 cam's in it now and the question is while it's apart should I upgrade to different cam's or leave it be? Should I do the heads or leave them be and go with adjustable push rods? She's not hard on the bike basically a cruiser. Thanks

If she is happy with the way the bike runs, why borrow trouble by giving her the fever.

Default well ……..

While you are in there, I would upgrade to adjustable pushrods.. put in a new set of lifters… no need to change the cam if all is okay… maybe put in a new 'lefty bearing' if hp/tq upgrades are in your future.

What is the SE2 cam; not familiar with that one? Definitely replace the tensioners; suggest the CYCO tensioner for the replacement. I see no reason to upgrade to adjustable pushrods; just another piece of hardware that has the potential to cause problems so if you don't NEED them, why bother? At 85K miles, I would suggest having the heads worked with a simple "street" port that is offered by several porters for $400-$450. At 86K miles it would be a good time for a valve job, new guide seals and shave .020"-.030" or so off the heads for a mild compression bump. If the inner cam bearings were not upgraded with the big bore kit install, it would be a good time to upgrade them as well. If the wife is happy with way the bike runs, why change cams? I would invest the money in the heads and a little more compression for a mild boost in performance and call it good.
