So properly ported 96" heads are fine in a 124" build?
No need for 110" or MVA heads? (for example)
on a milder 124",yes.we`ve done a lot of 124"`s in the 135/135 area using stock 96" castings,if your looking for higher than that,using stock castings just isn't worth the work involved to get the #`s needed when 110 heads are avaliable
When you say oe castings are you referring to the 103 casting or 110?
Yes, OEM castings.
Local 124" build left here last week, S&S .585 at 10.4 cr/58mm t/body, with our in-house, 2.02" Stage IV Heads.

Not to piggy back the thread but how similar are the cnc heads that came in my 110 stage 5 kit to the 110 heads you guys are talking about. I also had the question if the heads that came in my kit could be used (with re working) for a future bigger build.
