I've used James gaskets and seals as well as H-D with good results. Not familiar with Cometic.

HD , Cometic , James in that order. James aren't what they used to be quality wise.

Why do you say that? Just curious as I haven't had any issues and have used them on several bikes

They work just as they did 20 years ago which is part of the problem , James hasn't taken steps to use newer and better materials and gasket designs like HD or Cometic have. They aren't bad but they aren't as good as they could be.

One thing that harley does really well is gaskets. Is all I use if I can. Except for head gasket.

HD seals too!!! I HATE leaks and after enough times of Cometic and James wasting time and money for me, it's OEM only now. Never thought I would ever say that,,,,,,but I did.
