2 different builds.
If you are looking for more power, Larry can surely hook you up.

I understand 2 different builds, mine met/exceeded my goals. I'm definitely not looking for more power. My post wasn't intended to complain about the power difference between my setup and yours.
I'm mainly just curious on the advantages of the 110 head over the 96/103 head.
Reindeer, you did a great job with your build. I'm going to go with a run of the mill 124, 585 cams, and S&S heads that come with the kit. 58 mm to feed it. Motor is out of the bike now and disassembled. Run out was way out on the stock crank at under 30000 miles. Enjoy your new power plant!

A CVO 110" head has a larger valve/seat/throat/bowl than an OE casting, generally resulting in more air flow.
Larry Yacko, can fill you in on all the particulars, as he has a very good cylinder head program/methods, and consider him a friend of ours, as well.

This is my engine build. Had another builder do a 117" build last summer. That motor never met my expectations. Low dyno numbers and didn't hit hard on the low end like I wanted. After a few tunes from different tuners trying to find some more power to no avail the motor was an under achiever. Brought it to Hillside and let Scott do his thing. Man knows how to build a motor. Went with Scott's 110 CVO heads and different pistons and a few of his tricks and bike runs great. Do not doubt his knowledge. The man knows how to make power. Difference in power is quite noticable. Scott builds a better engine.Fact!
