Agree 100% Seems like a good rule of thumb to just take your engine parts quote and double it. At least it was in my case. By the time you add up all the little extras along the way, add in money for the tune and tuner if you don't already have one, and in my case my exhaust wouldn't support my build. The "oh, that's not bad for that kind of power increase" turns into "oh S#*T, how did I spend that much money?"

And... since I have the 3 years left on my 5 year extended warranty, I'm hoping that having an HD dealer do the work, the warranty will not be voided. Or will it be voided if I use anything other than the HD kit?
Anyone know?
(Is that laughing I hear????)

That is the magical question that you need to ask your deale. My dealer knows Scott did my motor work.. they will warranty everything except what he touched... and I don't blame them for that.

why should they warranty someone else's work

About a guarantee that if it's not all MoCo parts, it won't be covered. Even if it is, it likely won't be covered as it's after the fact. You have an extended service plan thru a 3rd party company. The MoCo does nothing more than sell it.

Apparently I'm not able to send you a Private message here... I'd like to know more about what worked and what didn't on your 110 kit. I've got a call into Scott at Hillside. Can you say anything about whether the issue was simply knowledge of how to set it up, or if it was a difference in the components used?
