Got a 16 Street Glide Special with the 103ho motor that's been stage 1'd (V&H duals) and I'm looking at upgrading the motor for better power on the highway and on hills.
I've thought about the whole package to bump it up to 110, but funds are not unlimited!
How much improvement can be had with cams and lifters?
Anyone been down this road with this motor already and able to share some experience?

Drop in a set of Andrews 48 cams, add fuel management if that was not included as part of your Stage I upgrade and get a proper dyno tune. Lifters aren't going to add to the gain but replacing them with a set of S&S Standards would be a good idea. Inner cam bearings should be upgraded to B168s as well. Check tensioners and replace if they look like they have taken a beating. Check crank run out while the cam chest is open for future reference.

On my '13 103 I added V&H Power Duals and Monster Rounds, Stage 1 air cleaner and PCV with their canned download that build. Ran great but i wanted a little more. Also it was still smooth unloped idle
I went back in later and added the Woods tw-555 cams and adjustable pushrods. More torque, my buddies 110 CVO cant leave me now, I have a lopy idle and it just feels better. Seems the andrews cam is similar and I believe andrews grinds woods cams to bobs specs.
I'm no expert. But I feel like the amount of money you will spend paying someone else to change a cam and then retune would be better off saved up for either some additional headwork with that cam or going 107"/110"
I don't think a cam swap will get you where you want to be. The HO cam is pretty good with nice stage 1. Save your coin for another season.
