Apparently I'm not able to send you a Private message here... I'd like to know more about what worked and what didn't on your 110 kit. I've got a call into Scott at Hillside. Can you say anything about whether the issue was simply knowledge of how to set it up, or if it was a difference in the components used?
About a guarantee that if it's not all MoCo parts, it won't be covered. Even if it is, it likely won't be covered as it's after the fact. You have an extended service plan thru a 3rd party company. The MoCo does nothing more than sell it.
True that as the general rule; however, there are exceptions to every rule. Every dealer is different. While the extended warranty won't specifically cover the repair, some dealers will warranty their work, regardless of the parts brand. Some dealers know how to work the extended warranty to their advantage depending on the nature of the repair.

And to my pleasant surprise, I talked with one of the dealers here today. They said as long as they do the work the warranty is still good... regardless of whether I use all Harley parts (as long as the parts are from a known and reputable maker.)
I would say the original kit I bought was a bad combo of parts..
I purchased the 103 stage 4 kit with se585 cams.
The CCP was very high. So I had pinging issues. When trying to stop the pinging they had to pull back so much timing that I had no bottom end power. I also had pipes that were too big for the motor. This didn't help.
Final problem I had too high of expectations and an unreasonable plan going in. Biggest kit biggest pipes biggest everything turned out to be biggest problem.
The guys at the Harley shop I go to are great and did everything they could to make it right.. but the correct combination was key.
From the sounds of where you want to be. I would not plan on doing as much work as I did.

Glad that's what they said. Now get it in writing. I'd love to get that promise, but I do so much touring, I'd hate to have to depend on the local dealer. Although, if I broke down in BFE, I would probably be trailering back anyway with a motor issue.
After carefully considering all the input, thinking about what I would spend as down payment if I was buying a new bike, what I want and what I'm willing to risk, I've decided.
Getting an S&S 110 kit, with S&S heads, and an S&S 570 cam. Talking to the dealer this weekend about the other components, tuner, push rods, throttle body, etc...
I've got a 2015 Streetglide Special. V&H Power Duals, TMan 555 torquestrer, SE Heavy breather. TTS master tune with a good dyno tune from C&S Spped Shop, made 100hp/115tq. Over 100 ftlbs at 2400rpm. Great combo with excellent roll on power.

The right cams and tune should wake you up.
TedWilliams09, I am looking at the stage IV Tireshredder kit for the 2016 StreetGlide special 103 HO engine, P/N 92500038. This kit takes it out to 110 and uses the 259E cam, not the 585. The parts look pretty solid and I have a good mechanic and dyno tuner that does the builds and is very good at the SEPST tuner, which is what I used with my Stage I.
I am wondering if this tireshredder kit has better quality components than the kit you used or if that 585 was not the right profile cam.
