Looks like a muffler change during the tuning process. Shows just how important it is to have the right cam AND exhaust combo.
That was an experiment with a high flow muffler. Hated the sound and how it performed but as you stated it does show what happens when you choose the wrong exhaust for your build.
I always say take the advice of the tuner but I really like the 570-ll. I guess we need to have another chat!
Realize that that dyno is from one of the best tuner's you will find. He has worked with this cam extensively too. Lesson here: Make sure you have a really good dyno guy and make sure he has the brains and patience to work with whatever cam you choose. A good tuner shouldn't have any issues. The problem is, there is a lack of good tuner's.

Neglected to mention that the tune from Sheffer was AFTER my local HD tuned the bike. I did the cam install and was in a rush to get a tune...lesson learned.

I looked at that chart when you posted and read that. So it was tuned by dealer...visually ugly chart. What were its symptoms when riding?

Generally not the improvement I expected with a cam change, and particularly the CR 570-2. Power was not that much improved, though throttle response was better. The dealer tune with new cams was only a few hp/tq more than the stage 1 tune (that the bike had when I bought it - used).
That right there is powerful evidence of what a proper tune can do, see so many times guys refuse to pony up for the dyno tune or say "it's just cams" or "I'm not racing it" and are unhappy with mods they done and start looking for different cams big bore kits and every damn thing else. tune what you got properly first and if that's not enough then start making another build plan
i really like the andrews 48 H in my 96 and they say it does just as well in a 103
i can't stress enough how important a good dyno tuner is though, i've had mine dyno'd twice and although it performs very well i can tell its still not right

Exactly. How many people have said something similar and its tuned with a FP3?? Dyno tuning takes time, hours. Time is money and those dyno machines aren't cheap. When I was doing my build, the break-in and the tune were included in my budget. Took months for me to gather all the parts and to have the cash on hand for the dyno time. And I would dam sure do it again the same way
