Replacing my compression releases and book says use 246 thread lock on reassembly, nobody in Memphis has it, think I can use high strength in its place?

246 is for high temp (450f) usage... I would stick with what's recommended.

I just installed a time cert in my HD F150 and have some high temp locker. I'm up the street from you and would let you use a few drops. let me know.

Did the plug dent the hood when it left the cylinder head?

yes it did...not too bad but you can definitely see where it hit.

Do NOT use that on something that needs to be removable, that grade is designed to be permanent. Regular blue loctite is fine .

You could also look for 2422 which has an even higher operating temperature
