You should have a 1/2" clearance in that spot...you have something that mounts the motor upside down or backwards...post pics of all the mounting points...including how the trans mounts to the motor...

Do you have the swingarm/transmission connection bolted firmly and correctly onto the frame?

I ended up slotting the mount bracket higher and that did it.

You didn`t fix the problem, you just took a short cut...

Agreed..
So OP, you altered the position of the motor and did it change anything with the alignment from motor to trans via the primary.. ?
