Default Finally finished upgrades on 04 fatboy!

So already had 95" big bore with SEH 203 cams, spring loaded tensioners. 32 tooth trans pulley 3.15 final drive.

So went with Andrew's 26g cams, S&S TC3 cam plate, S&S oil pump, S&S hydraulic lifters. Original push rods. Andrew's 34 tooth trans pulley to drop some RPMs at top speed. New inner cam bearings.

Install went well dialed in the speedometer so only off about 1-2 MPH +/- depending on the speed. Which is weird because at low speeds I'm over speed at high speeds im under. Makes no sense.

Install was not to bad, only broke a few bolts and parts. Better then usual. Kinda hear a bit of a whine but only at a stop and I have to be paying attention to it. Other then that I cant hear it at all. RPMs felt better, I know you guys run it at high rpms with no problems. I'm a wuss so it bothers my hands lol. Happy with the drop in rpms. If I would go back in time I would do the 27tooth compensator instead and save a lot of labor. Didn't know until after install.

Now the 26g vs 203. Pulling power felt roughly the same. I would say if any slight edge goes to the 26g. However the real difference was in where I hit it at. 203 would hit at about 2900 before I would really feel it. Then it would just die around 4000. The 26g kicks in around 2000 and i hit 4100 but it did not die out. I ran out of pavement or I would have kept going. Big difference is more usable pulling power. So very happy with what I have, more broad torque then before. Lower RPMs, no tensioners to worry about. Next up is suspension front and back. Thanks for listening. Feel free to ask away.

👍 on gear drives and 27T compensator

( were you able to retain the stock drive belt?)

Yes a 34 tooth pully will lower your rpms a bit ..500.
I did my 02 and I am ok with it. I am not a speed guy anymore.
If your a speed guy don't do it.

yes, kept same belt. Had enough to make adjustments.

Yes, final drive was 3.15 so once I past 75mph I would get a buzzing on my palms. After a while it really would bother me. So switched to a 34 tooth transmission pulley to make final drive 2.95. Buzzing now comes in past 80mph. I normally cruise 80 so it really helped my hands. Had I done the 27 tooth sprocket instead it would be 2.89 which would help even more.

It makes all gears taller so you lose a slight amount of torque on take off. But I didn't notice it really. Helps that I have a big bore kit and cams. Maybe in future I'll give it a try.

Agree
ran the 2.89 on 88” for a season, somewhat lacking.

went to 98” with more compression and cams

it’s right where I want it now
