Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
Nothing wrong I guess with tmax if setup right. I have used one before at about 210. For the most part ran great but had a few issues. Found myself always fiddling with it when I probably should have to just left it alone. Pulled it about 6 or 7 years ago
Was being a little flippant on the oil cooler question. Was referring to OP's post 25
If overheating in Houston heat on a TC, don't know if extra oil cooler is going to save the day. Might help a little. Tuning might help. Cylinder head fans might. Pulling over for a cold one will. IMO

I have the mighty mite fans, they definitely move some heat. I’ve always just kicked them on in traffic. Would be better on a thermostat switch, I normally don’t think about them until my legs are burning. I believe the fans and a fan assisted oil cooler that is the quality of the new ones would control the heat for most situations.
I am staying out of this one; lots of information for the OP to sort through; can't add anything. However, if the Gasser heads for a 107" motor flowed 250cfm @28", I would not be sending heads back to Gasser for re-work. Those heads should have flowed 275-300 from the jump IMHO. As has been said, WFO Larry, AKA, Larry's Motorcycle and Machine would be a good source to sort through the various options and make a decision.
I just read on old thread abou a 124 build. Grasser build. Talked about valves being sunk, not impressive flow numbers. Someone on there saying what they should flow. That 124 made160hp, something like 140 torque.
I remember when Wolf told me what these heads flowed. He didn’t hide anything, didn’t make excuses, wasn’t concerned with the number at all. I believe there is other variables he is looking for and cfm lands where it lands.
