Default 103 to 110?

Fuel moto has a 110 kit that I’m looking at for my 2015 Softail slim. In my limited looking up (I’ll never call it research because I’m honest and lazy) it seems that a 110 is as big as a tc engine will go without case boring and additional work. (Remember I’m lazy) Being cheap (and lazy) can I get away with just a basic 110 big bore kit or am I better off going with the outlaw heads with it? What am I going for you ask? I like going fast but I like getting there faster. So I prefer torque. Am I missing something? Sure. But this is my start.

Without boring the cases, 110 cu.in. is the largest you can get, and at that point, the spigots are very thin, a 107 could actually be a better deal in the long run.

To do the standard 110 or 107 with the level b headwork from fuelmoto is about a 400 dollar difference. Only you can decide if the extra power is worth the extra money. I wouldn't worry about durability or reliability of either setup as they've both been around for years and the early growing pains are pretty much resolved. But like with any build ,everything should be measured and checked before assembly. You can just bolt on a big bore but in order to take advantage of the displacement increase its important to add the rest of the ingredients to meal...or it'll suck lol. Give fuelmoto or Scott at hillside a call. They're both sponsors here and they're both great to work with.

Basically what I’m understanding is using a 110 kit without heads or headwork is like using 75% of the ingredients. It’s close to what you want but it’s not what you want. Lol.
