twin cam flywheels HELP!!!!

I have a 1999 T/C 88. The flywheel is knocking at only 122000 miles on it. does anyone know if a 2004 crankshaft will fit a 1999? Will it need any modifications to work? TIA

What model bike?

How do you know the problem is the flywheels?

Is the engine disassembled?

It will have to be a Dyna or Bagger crank, Softails won't fit. You'll have to remove the bearing sleeve from the crank to install timken's.

Your 99 flywheel is better than the 04. Why not get the 99 reworked? Plenty of companies offer this.

I suspect that 2004 wheels are still good. Sept 2004 they changed which is close to the 2005 model year. Here is how to identify the difference..

Knocking "at only" 122000 miles...is that a typo or sarcasm? Sure we'd like them to last forever but theres a lot people with a lot less miles than that going through the same thing. I second reworking your better crank than putting in an unknown condition inferior crank.
