1970 Shovlehead Alternator Conversion Kit Regulator
Just Bought a 1970 shovlehead that is not charging. I must add that it had a alternator conversion kit installed, there lies the problem I cant find a replacement regulator. I have checked the alternator and it is putting out about 26 volts when I rev the motor. I also had a tech check the regulator and they tell me it is bad but there is no part number listed on the part. Can anybody point me in the right direction..?

But if I were you at this point I'd consider upgrading to the newer 32 amp system , you can get the whole kit on Ebay for $130 but use your old rotor not the one in the kit your's is much better . I do this with all the shovels I get in any more it's just too hard getting the older stators & regulators for them anymore .
