You don't get the difference. There is tuning and then there is TUNING. WHen I can set cold start steps to run, set temp tables for timing, set closed throttle timing, change AE, change DE, etc the correct way.... a PCV is simply sooooo 20th century in thinking. and cannot do any of the above directly inside of the ECM? No brainer. And... on a 2009 DBW bike? AE and timing is everything.
Numbers do not matter, I could care less what the FM GODS gets out of a PCV tune..... what matters is if the bike gags when taking off, for example. Tuning is HOW the bike rides and operates. Numbers are too easily messed with.... they have no real value.... I can mess with them myself. BUt, I don't bother, because it all comes down to how the bike RIDES, and we don't ride sheets.
I will agree to that one turk 100 % had my 107 stage II set up running very well with the help of ken peters from dynojet with the pcv with auto tune. took it too a tuner last june he played with it for 3 hrs and showed me a couple dyno sheets of before and after and how he gained me 6hp & 10 tq cost me $ 300.00 got on bike and started my 2.5 hr ride home . got on thru way bike had better rideabilty cruising at 70 mph but after 10 miles i needed fuel. as i was slowing down to get off exit bike stalled would not restart until i keep throttle wide open than i had to keep rpms up or it would just stall.it ran like **** all the rest of way home. call the tuner next day to see how we were going to fix this concern. he tells me it must be a problem with the pcv because he did a proper tune and made me more power and torque . i had the paper with the results on it. well long story short reinstalled the tune i had in it before he messed it up and bike ran well again. so like u said u cant ride a piece of paper!!!
