right side is the carb side - in my shop we swap out all 4 allens - the right side we use 12 point bolts that have 5 /16 heads on them so we can use a 1/4 inch drive 5 /16 universal swivel socket to tighten them -- it make it a snap to repair in the future
1/2 wrench left side - 5 /16 - 1/4 inch drive swivel right side
I finally got a chance to get back into it today before heading to work tonight. The pics below are the new seals that I put in alst week and were still leaking. I went to my Indy Pro Twin Performance and picked up a set of Cometic intake gaskets. Kevin also planed the intake flanges for me so they were flat. Put it all back together and also replaced the carb spigot gasket.

The problem is either with the needle jet or accelerator pump, and that needle should be good.
Look at the accelerator pump either it's blocked or has a bad diaphragm.
I know the diaphragm was recently replaced, but check it again.
The accelerator pump was working fine as shown in the pic below. I still replaced the spring and accelerator pump diaphragm while I was in there.

John thanks for the tip on the 1/4 inch drive swivel for the 5/16 12 point, it worked really well.
You did say CV. Check the boot to the manifold. This is a problem with the CV and the main reason I switched to a Super E. The Super E BOLTS to the manifold, not slipped into a boot. That boot expands and retracts sucking air. I had my CV shut me done cold in the diamond lane with my daughter on back in the peak rush hour. That was the straw that broke the CV back for me. Sacrifice the fuel mileage and get a S&S!

Thanks... I replaced the boot when I replaced the intake gaskets. 180 miles ride this past weekend in the GA mountains and it's running great now.
