Tom, was that 70 bucks price from long time ago? It seems Cycle Shack price is way more than $70.00 nowadays.

I like mine as well. They can sound reasonable till you really get on it, then they bark a bit, but... I don't think it is as bad as some I hear. Paid $120.00 delivered for a new set of tapered mufflers only about 2 years ago. They remind me of the old screamin eagle mufflers from the late 80's early 90's (the good ones). YD

Default Deeper sound without a great increase in noise

Hi there,
Rinehart Racing's 3.5 inch slip ons gave my Road Glide a nice deep sound without excess noise. Also, the black tips make keeping the bike looking clean easier.

good luck to you.

Looks like a lot of good experience from Cycle Shack in this forum. I just called them up and they are going to e-mail me parts # so I can purchase them. Unfortunately since I'm in California, I cannot buy them directly.

I also just called American Custom and asking about their Bomber Slip-ON mufflers for my bike. Spoke with Kevin and he said that I can always cut the flange on the exhaust/header and and then slip the muffler on. Anybody try this before?

I paid that about 2 years ago as well. That price was for a pair, but one is a "blem". The mistake is in the rear mount. The left pipe sits about 1/4" farther back than the right. No big deal. I originally went with these because they fit 2 inch head pipes. Most made to fit 2 inch pipes are outrageously priced. I love the way they sound too. A lot of pipes have this irritating, droning sound when cruising. These are actually pleasant to listen too. They aren't bad with the baffles in either, but I like them loud.

I have the American Custom slip ons for my 97 Ultra Classic and I really like the fact I can change the baffles. I mostly run the mid range set up (sounds like a Harley) but, sometimes I quiet it down, depending on riding partners, and then they are just a tad louder then stock.
