Both of us, the old beast has more to fix than not; doesn't help that some of the bolts seem to be grade 2, but at least they just bend, instead of breaking. And I've read that fixes on these Russian bikes are just temporary...

The little guy sure likes sidecars, though. Lot safer for him, too.

I'm stopped until I can get the oil pump shaft from the dealer.

I will be sure to post some picts when something changes.

Made a little progress today.
Installed oil pump, cam chest, and jugs.

Good job Texas, didn't realize jug can come off while in frame, wonder if that's the case with my bike also.

Yes, I have seen that on other thread pics. Is there a certain procedure to make that happen, in the frame?

THC, sine we haven't heard from Trail Dog lately, I will ask if you might be cleaning things up as you go? Just ask'n. =]

my thoughts!! Woulda power washed that dog first, pulling apart clean makes life easier, that's just me (or maybe not).

What's that peg behind the oil tank? Looks like it might be for a little kid, but with the clevis at that angle, looks like it'd just fold back trying to use it.
